COMPLETE! UPDATE: Please give us a few more hours, all sites should come back soon.We are still running tests and experimenting, we are working on different issues to get all them resolved on this now.Sorry for the inconvenience. -----------Dear valued YPN customers, We are committed to bringing you the best possible performance and long run reliability. Due to our rapid growth we are currently expanding our facilities, network and overall technical infrastructure to allow for new exciting features. Unfortunately we will have to interrupt service to the cluster segment your cluster is located on for a period of time. (This only impacts ns1.ypnhost.com server) Your service will be temporarily interrupted tonight starting at 9:00pm PDT (GMT-7) and should be compleated in less than 12 hours. We are aware that this is very inconvenient for all clients on the affected clusters and will do everything in our power to keep this interruption as short as possible. In the meantime, we will be changing our cluster motherboard, thats why we need a bit more time to do all the upgrades. We are extremly sorry about the inconvenience. Best Regards Arnold Harald, YPNhost.com

corrupt file system and hard drive [COMPLETED]

Dear YPN customers,We are sorry to say that the file system of our server got fully corrupted because of a Journal crash. Our techs as well as the Datacenter techs tried their best to recover the data though, none of the data from the corrupted hard drives could recover. We are lucky that we had daily backups on our Lan server but the root problem is, we do not backup any of the configuration file or mysql databases offsite. We were backing them on the same server and having RAID to protect the data corruption. The file system corruption as well as the RAID fail have resulted these files to be lost. Right now, we have around 210GB of total files of the users. No Database or Cpanel informations are available in the server right now. We are trying to employ someone to create all the Active accounts and sends the account notification asap. If you need any of the files backup please contact the support immediately. Sorry for the inconveniences, we know the hard drive failure was out of our hand, though matter related to backup techniques was a big fault. We have learned our lessons and going to configure the whole mysql server on a new node located under our Private LAN. We apologize again for the inconvenience as we can't really do anything else other than that right now. In the meantime if someone have any full backup, you can restore it anytime by emailing support. What's Next? You will be getting an email shortly after we recreate your cpanel accounts with your username and temporary password. We have backup copies of most of the accounts but do not have any backup for any MySQL databases. We will be restoring the files and try to re-create your databases. If you have local backup of your site including MySQL database, please open support ticket and let us know soon!We truly apologize again but some things are never in our hand and hard disk failure was one. We will be investigating the problems to learn from any mistakes and try to secure and backup our data in a better way. Some of the accounts were very large and will take a long time to restore. Please give us some time as it may take 24-48 hours to restore everything back to normal. Thanks,YPNhost.com
